Senior Financial Analyst | NYU Langone Medical Center | New York, NY
The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F)
Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of the
NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC) and provide the foundation for its
growth and success in the 21st century. RED+F provides strategic campus
planning and project development services, including architectural
studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure
and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to
existing structures on the NYULMC campus.
The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure
and related support services across the medical center. RED+F is
composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project
Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance &
Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental
Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering
divisions.
Provide overall financial support for RED+F, including, but not limited
to budgeting, invoice processing, status updates of purchase orders,
financial analysis, reporting and research. Must have a clear
understanding of accounting and finance, procurement, accounts payable.
Knowledge of the construction financial process is critical. Experience
with private financing and/or state agencies is a huge plus. Must
be able to communicate with senior staff and project managers; and at
the same time, flexible enough to be extremely hands on with
administrative tasks, including filing. Must be self-motivated,
and excel at working independently and as a team player.

as it provides the skill set to be able to be more efficient and
maximize productivity in a very busy work and fast-paced environment

entries, working with G/L, budgeting)
- Demonstrated high level of drive and initiative to complete
assigned tasks
- Investigate and seek out improvement opportunities

organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or
Business; MBA preferred
- 10+ years financial experience in construction industry
- Solid understanding of project financial statements and be able
to create concise reports based upon specifications requested by
management
- Must have a clear understanding of project accounting and
finance, construction procurement, construction accounts payable,
insurance
- Experience with private financing and/or state agencies is plus.
